On Saturday, August 17th, we’ll be holding another day-camp at our Elk River range to sharpen our skills heading into the fall.
The following day, Sunday, we’ll be having a wave-start mass-start race also at Elk River.

Summer is rolling by!! Coming up on the Sunday, the 4th of August is a daycamp at Snowflake in Duluth! The signup link is above! Great opportunity to get in a day of training in Northern MN!!
Also, on the following weekend Kara Salmela will be hosting a Novice camp on Saturday the 10th!! Please contact Kara at Email Karasalmela@gmail.com if you are interested!!
Kara is a multiple Olympian in Biathlon and has years of competitive experience!! Golden opportunity for anyone with an interest in getting into the sport!!
At the Midwest Regional Championships last weekend in Brillion WI, there were two events held each day. Dominating the <15 events was Caleb Gilbertson with some quality shooting, finishing in first both days, followed by his younger brother, Carson, in 3rd on Saturday and 2nd on Sunday!! On Saturday Elliot Miner was 5th and Patrick Lammerson Jr 7th. On Sunday Elliot was 4th, and Pat 7th all in the 6km race while Daley Valentine was 2nd and his Dad, Tim was 4th in the 8 km Mass start event. All are from the Duluth area working with John Gould at Snowflake!!
Then on the 17th/18th weekend at Elk River, MN Biathlon will again hold a daycamp on Saturday and the 3rd race event of the summer series, a Mass start by waves, on Sunday..The signup link will be available shortly!!
And for those headed to Lake Placid this week for the Elite Youth camp and the National Development team camps—have a great trip- enjoy the new facilities at Placid and good luck at Jericho in the Summer Nationals!!
