The Green Racing Project ski and biathlon programs are excited to announce the addition of five new athletes for the 2018-2019 season: biathletes Jake Brown, Kelsey Dickinson, and Raleigh Goessling, and skiers Corey Stock and Akeo Mayfield-Carucci.

MN Biathlon and USBA memberships

Below is the MNBiathlon Membership form for this year. Please note: this membership runs from May to May. Also below is the USBA membership which normally runs from Oct to Oct, but if you are planning on attending camps or races before Oct, and are not a current member of USBA, you will need to join now. Our insurance program comes from USBA.

For those in the Twin Cities area, we have 3 options for you. Simple outstate membership with no use of the Elk River facility except for races; membership plus use of the ER facility, but not the new TC Club training program; or the full program including once a week coaching until Labor Day.

Elk River Roller Ski Biathlon Race – Thurs, August 24, 2017 – RESULTS

Minnesota Biathlon Summer Series Race #2 Recap

On a beautiful and cool summer evening, MN Biathlon held their second race in the Summer Rollerski Race series on the paved trails at Woodland Park in Elk River. Fifteen athletes from around the state participated in the Pursuit format event.

In the Men’s and Senior Women 11.4 km race, Jakob Ellingson, Mt Itasca Biathlon, shooting 1,1,1,2 finished in 34:35 beating out second place Cam Christiansen, Nisswa Northwest, who shot 1,0,0,1 and finished 4 min back.
In the Woman’s event Siena Ellingson, Mt Itasca and USBA Development, shot 3,1,2,2 and finished in 41:56.

In the Youth Women and Older Girls 9.3 km race Stormy Hegg, Wolfpack Biathlon from Alexandria, shot 2,1,0,2 to take the top honors in 35:55 edging out second place Emma Stertz, Mt Itasca, 2,2,0,3 by 5 sec.

In the Younger Girls/Boys 7.1 km race, Frank Gangi, Mt Itasca, 0,2,3,2 finished in 29:38 just ahead of Matej Cervenka Mt Itasca, 0,0,2,3 who finished in 30:12.

On the Girls side, Clara Kramer, Duluth Biathlon, shooting 3,2,4,5 finished in 35:45, ahead of Maj Lis Helmer, Duluth Biathlon, 5,4,4,2 who finished in 39:52.

The next event in the series will be again at Elk River on Sunday, the 24th of Sept with a 10:00 zero.
