4 year old and under (100m), 5-6 years old (300m),                                                 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12 years old (1k), 13-14 years old (3k)

 

Entry Fee: Springloppet $ 25.00, 18 years old and under $15.00                                                 Kid’s Race / Candy Cup $5.00

Directions: From South: 169 North 10miles – after Hill City left on 17 – than 2.5miles left on CR 449 up the hill 3miles – Sugar Hills on your left.

From North: 169 South from Grand Rapids 5miles right on 17 – after 2.5 miles left on CR 449 up the hill 3 miles – Sugar Hills on your left.

The fifth biathlon event of the 2015/2016 WI Biathlon Cup Series will take place on February 14, 2016 at Blackhawk Ski

Club in Middleton, Wisconsin. This race will be an Open event (No novice event).

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEES:

Event registration will take place at the bottom of the ski hill in the Jumping Chalet starting at 8:30 AM.
Entry fees are $25 Adult, $15 youth plus USBA membership required. ($10 race day USBA membership available. bring Filled out USBA “member for a day” form (online at USBA web site below) to race.) Exact payments accepted at bib pick up on race day morning. No online payments are available. Checks must be payable to “Blackhawk Ski Club”.

Preregistration required by Noon on February 12th, late registration fee of $10 will be added for day of race registration.

NOVICE RACE:

There is no novice race scheduled with this event. Blackhawk will be having a novice event later in the season. Biathletes with some experience and that have their own rifle for the race will be permitted to participate but will not be allowed to ski with a rifle on the course.

OPEN RACE:

The open race is for biathletes with previous biathlon experience and are USBA safety certified. The race format will be a time trial start. Scoring and race timing will be dependent on the number of volunteers available for the race. There will be 5 skiing stages with the distance depending upon snow conditions (1.5K to 2.5K each) and 4 shooting rounds (PPSS). A penalty lap of 150 meters will be added for each missed shot if conditions allow. Club rifles will be available for the open race if pre-arranged. Youth race will be approximately 6 km with PP shooting rounds.
