MNCup #3 Biathlon Event Held at Nisswa
On Sunday, NNW Biathlon hosted MNCup#3 at the Nisswa range. Two events were held, a 4.5 km Sprint with 2 shooting stages followed by a 5 km Pursuit Format with 4 times in the range. In a Format event the start times are deducted from the time over the finish line.
In the Sprint, Little Falls Sophmore Jackson Grant, NNW, dominated in the Men’s side shooting 0,2 and finishing in 14:38. In second was Hunter Zupko, National Guard, also Little Falls, shooting 3,2 and finishing in 16:33.
In the Women’s field, Stormy Hegg, Wolfpack, Alexandria was first with 2,3 shooting finishing in 18:36. Emma Watson, Duluth Biathlon, shot 2,2 and finished in 18:56 for a close second.
In the Boy’s field, Ryker Bosek, Wolfpack, held off Connor Grant, NNW, with Bosek shooting 3,5 and outskiing Grant who shot 4,3, with Bosek finishing 36 sec ahead.
In the Girls field, Lucy Watson, Duluth Biathlon, shot 4,3 and finished in 22:43
In the Pursuit Format, the order of start was the order of finish in the Sprint. Zupko, shooting 1,3,2,1 outshot J Grant, 1,2,4,3 to edge him out by 15 sec, 23:25 to Grants 23:40.
In the Women’s side Hegg held on to the lead shooting 2,2,3,0 and outskiing E Watson who shot 2,1,1,2 with Hegg finishing 2:15 in front.
In the Boy’s event, Bosek, 0,1,3,3 again held off C Grant 1,1,2,3 with Bosek finishing just 39 sec ahead.
