Race Day #3 Results at 2019 USBA Junior Trials

Today saw the last of the 3 races in VT, Trials for the Youth and Junior World Championships. Results can be seen on http://www.eabiathlon.org/.

Two things of note:
1] Kaisa Bosek won today’s YW race by 0.7 sec. She held off a young lady from Utah to hold 2nd place in the overalls by 0.5%.

2] Five MN biathletes are in the top 4 of the classes which makes them eligible for the US Team. The top two positions are normally automatic, while the remaining positions are subject to coach’s discretion. The International Competition Committee makes the final decision.

In contention:
Garrett Beckrich, Grand Rapids, 1st in Jr M. Garrett won his first two races
Vasek Cervenka, Grand Rapids, 2nd in Jr M, Vasek won the race today
Kaisa Bosek, Alexandria, 2nd in YW. Kaisa is also qualified for the Youth Olympic Games based on previous races
Emma Stertz, Grand Rapids, 4th in Jr W.
Sam Stertz, Grand Rapids, 4th in YM. Sam won his first race.
