Minnesota Cup #1: Biathlon Race & Novice Race

The weather for Sunday biathlon race looks still very cold. We decided to postpone the race by 2 hours.

New schedule:
Zero: noon
Start: 1pm

Date: Sunday, December 12, 2010

Place: Mt.Itasca, Coleraine

Race Format: Mass Start (PPSS)

Distance: B, G, YW, MW: 7.5km,

YM, JW: 10km;

JM, SM, SW, MM 12.5km;

(Distance might change depending on # of biathletes and snow conditions)

Registration: 11:00 AM – 11:55 AM

Zero: 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM

Race Start: 1:00 PM Mass Start

Cost: $20 (cash or check payable to MINSA)

Novice Race

~ (Instruction, Rifles, and Ammo provided)

~ will follow the main race.

~ Safety Clinic prior to the Race

~ Race Format: Mass Start – 5k (3×1.7k), PP + penalty loop

~ Cost: $20 (cash or check payable to MINSA)

Awards Biathlon + Novice Race after completion of both races.
