Minnesota Biathlon

Minnesota Biathlon and Twin Cities Biathlon sponsored a 10K Mass Start (PPSS) roller ski race at the Elk River Biathlon Range last Sunday.

Temperatures were in the 50s with light mist and calm winds. The range and roller ski trails were in great shape.

The racing was intense with some great shooting by Kevin Patzold (Mt. Itasca / Senior National Team) and Addie Byrne (Mt. Itasca / Junior National team) laying down the challenge in the shooting range. Kevin won the Mens division and Addie won the Youth Womens division. Both had 3 misses.

Leif Nordgren (Mt. Itasca / Junior National Team) was the Junior Mens winner in a hard fought battle with Wynn Roberts (Mt. Itasca / Junior National Team). Carolyn Bramante (Twin Cities and former Olympic and National Team member) was the Womens division winner.

Raleigh Goessling (Duluth/Esko / USBA Jr. National Team) was the Youth Mens division winner. Ion Senchea (St. Cloud) was the Masters Mens winner.
